Our Commitment
Cool Mandolin Company is dedicated to promoting this great instrument, the mandolin. Our goal, once we pay our rent, is to be able to help provide mandolin scholarship funding to programs around the country. The best things in life have to be shared!
Cool Mandolins for Kids Program
“The new cure for Mandolin Acquisition Syndrome”
Cool Mandolin Company is excited to announce the beginning of a new program called “Cool Mandolins for Kids”.
Do you have a gently-used mandolin at home that would make a child really happy? If so, we’d love for you to send it to us. We’ll
find a young picker that’s in need of one and send it directly to them. It won’t cost anyone a cent. We won’t take any fees and we’ll pay the shipping fee to the recipient.
We LOVE the mandolin and we want to help promote it to the next generation of “mandolin legends”.
Won’t you help us?

Cool Mandolin Company Annual Scholarship Program
Cool Mandolin Company is committed to promoting the mandolin through the funding of
mandolin scholarships throughout the country. Bruce Weber of Weber Fine Acoustic Instruments
has been a huge supporter of this program since its inception.
Each year a beautiful Weber Yellowstone F-style mandolin is donated to Cool Mandolin Company
by Bruce Weber and is sold in order to further this cause. 100% of the proceeds from the sale are donated
to mandolin scholarship programs.
This past year we were able to start a scholarship program for Grand Targhee Bluegrass Camp in Wyoming,
which is headed by Ben Winship.
We'll keep you posted on future mandolins offered for sale to support this program.
We hope you'll support us! Thanks!
Do you remember your first time?
You probably remember the first time you heard a mandolin. I know I do. Chris Thile was playing "The Lighthouse's Tale". I was driving at the time and sat transfixed - unable to concentrate on the road ahead of me. That sound had me hooked.
Whether it was Chris Thile or Sam Bush, or perhaps Ricky Skaggs, you probably remember thinking "that's the coolest instrument I've ever heard. I have to play it". You might even be slightly obsessed. But, that's alright. We understand. We're here for you.
Well, that's how Cool Mandolin Company began. As an avid player, I searched for "hip" mandolin-related clothing and accessories. It was hard enough finding people who knew what a mandolin was - I'm from Pennsylvania - let alone products that gave the mandolin the respect that it deserves!
Here at Cool Mandolin Company we realize one thing - the mandolin is a "hip" instrument with an even hipper following. Our goal is to promote the mandolin to all of you and spread the word to the next generation of "mandolin legends".
What mandolin player doesn't remember their first time?
What's with the bull?
Ok, I admit it, my mandolin is not my only obsession in life.
I'm a huge fan of Professional Bull Riding. My favorite animal athlete is Little Yellow Jacket who is featured here. He's a red, 1750 lb. Brangus bull most recognized for his horns - 1 up 1 down. He's also the only bull in the history of the PBR to capture the illustrious title of Bull of the Year three times. He retired in 2005. His sons are now dominating the PBR.
He was a performer - the kind I can only strive to be!
Thanks for coming to see us! Stay awhile!
Laura
